PAHO Foundation (formerly PAHEF) is led by a Board of Trustees comprised of individuals committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the people of the Americas. The Trustees advise the President on appropriate matters including but not limited to assisting and advising on fundraising initiatives, marketing and public relations, developing policies, procedures, guidelines and long-range plans for the operation of the Foundation, overseeing the financial affairs and investments of the Foundation, and serving as advocates on behalf of the Foundation with the external constituents of the organization.
Each Board Trustee annually signs a conflict of interest statement and agrees to abide by the Foundation’s conflict of interest policy, as well as Standard Trustee Duties which include Duty of Care, Duty of Loyalty and Duty of Obedience. Trustees serve for three years, except for ex-officio members, whose terms shall be determined in accordance with their appointment.
